The monsters are here…

Monster feet

I was trying to take some close ups of the moss, when my little JR decided her toes look much more interesting than any moss.  😀

And here’s the gorgeous beastie herself:

My three girls:

Title a little bit of a lie, as I know for a fact that I have two more… and there’s a 50% chance there’s 4 others.  😀

But… my ability to sex goldfish only amounted to seeing whom the male bumped, so I only know two for a fact (sadly the big male passed last summer, although there might be four more males).

Anyway, apart from white lighthouses with blue sky behind, there’s not many pics I have that can cover blue and white, so instead I used this pic of my girls, as they were stalking the fish, and made in blue and white in Paint Shop Pro.

Feeling blue?

Don’t know if butterflies feel blue – but this beauty certainly was blue!  And no, it’s not one on a pin *shudders* he was just sitting on some very fine mesh in a butterfly house.  The whole place was full of fluttering, resting, feeding and mating butterflies everywhere, and couldn’t help but taking (way too many!) pictures.

I got the best watch in the world!

I have got the best watch in the world!  Forget Rolex or Omega, they don’t do much more than what mine does – show the time.  But mine’s got a picture of my feline angel on it!  Beat that!!!  And a little secret – you can get your image onto the style of watch you like!

ImageI won this watch from ZIZ iz TIME, I got to add my picture onto the watch strap that I liked… and of course I fell in love with th big chunky leather straps.  😀

Sent the pic via e-mail – and a couple of weeks later – today – this amazing watch arrived!  Made me so happy I got all teary-eyed.  I miss my little feline girl so much, and to be able to see her pretty little face each time I check the time is like a little bit of heaven on my wrist.

How awesome it that?  And… as I said – you can get any image onto any of their style of watches!  And they got a bunch of styles.  So – that’s your pic, of your dog, cat, child, boat, car… some nice landscape, flowers… onto any of the watches they sell!

There’s a small extra charge, between £5-£7 on top of the price of the watches they got online – but deliver is free.  😀  And that’s worldwide.  😀

DSC_0021I’m thinking this could save a lot of hassle come Christmas or birthday time.  😉

The option to add your own picture is not up on their website, but just get in touch (honestly – they’re nice as pie!), let them know which watch model you like, and that you want to add your own picture, and they’ll get right back to you.

I’m so chuffed with my watch!!!  I mean, really, really chuffed – this is even better than when a picture of my feline angel was shown on a billboard on Times Square.  😀

Miss you, babygirl.

Still here…

Nope, haven’t dropped off the face of the planet yet.  😀

But been a busy bee, in real life, and even here, although I haven’t posted (been adding some pages… still a couple to go).

But, thought I’d squeeze this challenge in.  Sorry I still haven’t visited those that have already participated, but got plans to do that tomorrow.

I’m not keen on sepia images.  I don’t hate them, I just don’t like them by themselves.  I do actually have sepia photos in my livingroom, but they’re mixed in with colour photographs.  4 sepia and 13 colour on a shelf.  😀  But it will be fun to see what people have done with theirs!

Curious kitty

This challenge was a real challenge for me.  🙂  The subject was to be a picture taken in February.  Well, as I was incapable of moving throughout most of February, it wasn’t looking promising.

A few good snaps of a cat visiting in the garden – taken by the other half, not me.  😦  A few blurry snaps taken of the dogs in the front garden – taken by me, but I only took a few (as I wasn’t in any shape to be out there) and none were good…  So onto the pics I’d taken inside.  Ack – all grainy as I’m not keen on the flash.

However I took a series of pics as my boy was checking out this lamp.  I don’t know why he suddenly found it so interesting, had it for years, although I have just moved it from the hallway to the piano in the livingroom.  He was really curious about it – this was the first pic in the series – he then sat up, sniffed it, stood up, sniffed it, before trying to stick his face inside it.  🙂

Below is the original:

Edited using Paint Shop Pro X3

After cropping I whacked down the brightness and the contrast.

Then I used Topaz Clean on the background (so the wrinkles in the curtains don’t show that much!  Guess who doesn’t iron curtains after they’ve been in the wash?  🙂  ), and then added a little blur.

Abandoned beauty

Anything that’s rusty and falling apart will always make me go snap happy.  I could so easily have dug out hundreds of pics of abandoned and derelict items and places…

But I’m gonna go with this image, I need a wee bit of colour and beauty to cheer me up.  Abandoned by life, but full of beauty.

Taken on the beach a few years ago.
